Rogers Trigger
January 24th, 2012 by admin

what year did roy rogers ride trigger down the stairs of the caledonian”?

Boy, This is a tough one.
Trigger was purchased by Roy in 1938 for $2500 ( a lot of money in 1938). Trigger died in 1965 at the horse age of 33.

“The Caledonian Hilton Hotel in Edinburgh is the grand old lady – affectionately known as “the Caley” by everyone familiar with the distinctive pinkish-brown sandstone building on the corner of Princes Street – over 100 years old.
Roy Rogers led his horse Trigger up the carpeted steps.”
– - But the source does not say when. My guess would be the late 1940s or early 1950s. I’ll keep looking online.
Good question.

This is another collection of Disney shorts set to music, but this time the formula works. That’s predicated on the inherent strength of the individual pieces and almost all of them come through. Surprisingly, two American folk heroes, Johnny Appleseed and Pecos Bill, are the stars of this show, with rousty little tunes, humor, and compelling linear story lines (a rarity in most of these shorts). …
