what year did roy rogers ride trigger down the stairs of the caledonian”?
Boy, This is a tough one. Trigger was purchased by Roy in 1938 for $2500 ( a lot of money in 1938). Trigger died in 1965 at the horse age of 33.
“The Caledonian Hilton Hotel in Edinburgh is the grand old lady – affectionately known as “the Caley” by everyone familiar with the distinctive pinkish-brown sandstone building on the corner of Princes Street – over 100 years old. Roy Rogers led his horse Trigger up the carpeted steps.” – - But the source does not say when. My guess would be the late 1940s or early 1950s. I’ll keep looking online. Good question.
