How much would a collection of vintage comic books (about 400 issues) that are in fair condition be worth?

Mostly Archie, Donald Duck, Bugs Bunny & Casper type comics. Not many of Superhero genre. Dating from late 50′s through late 60′s. Stored in a hot, dry attic and a lot are flaking on the edges. Owner wants $250 for all. Is this a good deal? What would be a reasonable price?

get a comic pricing book from the book store (in the hobbies section). It really depends on the comic and the issue. Some issues are worth more than others.
